The weather in Porto

Since Porto has a temperate oceanic climate, any time of year is good to visit. However, we prefer the months between April and October, as at this time of year it's unlikely to rain.
 

Fall (September - November):

Pleasant and mild. Highs average around 20-22°C (68-72°F), with occasional rain showers.

 

Winter (December - February):

Coolest time of year with frequent rain showers. Highs average around 12-15°C (54-59°F).

 

Spring (March - May):

Gradually warms up with decreasing rainfall. Highs range from 15-20°C (59-68°F) to 20-23°C (68-73°F).

 

Summer (June - August):

Warmest period with occasional showers. Highs average around 22-25°C (72-77°F) to 30-32°C (86-90°F).

Take a quick exploration of Penafiel before proceeding with your visit to the Quinta da Aveleda Estate. Enjoy a guided tour of the beautiful botanical gardens and vineyards, followed by a wine tasting and lunch at the farm. Quinta da Aveleda was recognized as one of the top 100 World Best Vineyards in 2022.
